MTO Promising Changes In Winter Road Maintenance

The Ministry of Transportation says their contractors for winter road maintenance are making changes for the upcoming season.
Regional Director Ian Smith says last winter was harsh and they’ve learned lessons from it.
Smith says crews have relocated equipment in problem areas as well as add to their fleet.
He says hopefully with the changes in place crews will be able to be out on the roads more often during snow storms.
