Provincial Police are reporting multiple charges after having to deploy a spike belt for an erratic driver.
Police say on Saturday at 6:48pm they received a traffic complaint on Highway 17 near English River.
Police also say the complainant mentioned a silver pickup truck that was driving erratically.
OPP then say further information showed that there was a possible domestic situation between the driver and the passenger.
Provincial Police located the suspect vehicle travelling westbound near Raven Lake Road, but it failed to stop.
Police say they used a spike belt at a separate location where the driver swerved into a parked cruiser almost hitting an officer before stopping.
The driver was then taken into custody and both vehicles sustained extensive damage.
OPP say 34 year old Jordon David Leslie Lang of Dryden was charged with:
1. Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle
2. Assault with a weapon
3. Assault with a weapon-Spousal
4. Criminal Negligence cause bodily harm
5. Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle cause bodily harm
6. Forcible Confinement
The passenger was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.
