Today is the first day you can file your nomination papers for the October 22nd municipal elections.
It’s a short campaign period this year, with the deadline to file July 26th.
Dryden City Clerk Debra Kincaid says the fee to run is $100 for Council or School Board and $200 for head of Council.
Kincaid says each nomination paper must be signed by 25-eligible voters supporting the nomination.
This is a requirement across Ontario.
Nomination information is available at various municipal website’s or by calling your respective City Clerk office.
