The Kenora District Services Board expects to find out later this month if the provincial government will come up with funding for the Parkview Apartments in Kenora.
The board has already approved the two million dollar renovation project, but concerns have been raised about the cost.
Mayor of Sioux Narrows/Nestor Falls, Gerry O’Leary was part
of a delegation which travelled to Queen’s Park last week to meet with Municipal Affairs and Housing Minister John
Gerritson.
He says they didn’t receive any funding guarantees.

O’Leary is worried the actual tenders for the project will come in much higher than the District Services Board had budgeted.
