The Harper Government is feeling some pressure from the Nishnawbe Aski Nation to adopt a UN resolution on the rights of indigenous peoples.
NAN Grand Chief Stan Beardy says the declaration is vital for First Nations People moving forward.
Beardy says Canada is the only UN country not to sign the resolution and its time the Government gets with the rest of the world.
He stresses the declaration sets the parameters on how business is done with aboriginals and is vital for the future First Nations people.
