The Grand Chief of the Nishnawbe-Aski First Nation is frustrated with the lack of progress in securing a new policing agreement with the Federal Government.
Stan Beardy says the police service is in desperate need of funding to improve working conditions and hire more officers to service Northwestern Ontario.
Beardy says there has been very little progress in securing a new police deal since the last Federal Election, partly due to the extended Parliamentary recess.
Beardy adds Northern Chiefs will be meeting soon to discuss options.
