NAN Pleased With Start Of Inquiry

The Nishnawbe Aski Nation says it welcomes the announcement that things are getting going to have an inquiry into missing and murdered Indigenous women.

Deputy Grand Chief Betty Ann Achneepineskum is encouraged that it will begin by engaging families who lost their loved ones.

She says the national inquiry must be family focused and the needs of the family must come first.
