The Deputy Grand Chief of the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation welcomes an Appeals Court ruling on Aboriginal jury rolls.
The court has thrown out a manslaughter conviction on the basis that not enough Aboriginals were on the jury.
Alvin Fiddler says now it’s time to move forward on the issue.
Fiddler says the province must work with First Nations on finding a solution.
He stresses the ruling validates what they have been saying about the state of jury rolls in the Kenora district since 2008.
