Meno-Ya-Win Remembers Frank Beardy

The Sioux Lookout Meno-Ya-Win Health Center is remembering Elder Frank Beardy.
Beardy passed away Thursday at the age of 63, following a lengthy illness.
Meno-Ya-Win President and CEO Dave Murray says Beardy devoted a lot of time to helping the area.
Murray says Beardy was instrumental in the bringing everyone together to build the new hospital.
Murray notes Beardy was the hospital’s Co-Chair for the past 7-years and he stepped down last year.
He stresses Beardy was very interested in governance and working together.
Beardy was also a one-time Grand Chief with the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation.
