The Nishnawbe Aski Nation is going to be welcoming over 300 students to Thunder Bay Wednesday.
The students are as young as 13 and hail from various remote northern communities.
Deputy Grand Chief Derek Fox says he wants to act as a role model for students, noting he’s a lawyer and spent eight years at school.
Fox says they have been stressing the importance of staying safe and NAN role models will be on hand to help in the transition.
He notes this opportunity helps students learn more about the services, activities and opportunities available in a larger setting.
