National Chief Will Take Sick Leave

At a critical time in negotiations with Ottawa, National Chief Shawn Atleo says his doctor has ordered him to take a “brief” medical leave from his job.
Regional chief Roger Augustine will preside over and facilitate national executive meetings in his absence.
Atleo met with Prime Minister Harper on Friday and emerged to say Harper had agreed to revisit historic treaties and speed up comprehensive land claims.
