Whether you’re after perch, jack or walleye, you are encouraged to
take part in National Fishing Week starting Saturday July 2nd.
Spokesperson Mike Melynik says interest in the sport has been on the
decline for years and he hopes today’s youth will carry on the past time.
As part of National Fishing Week, Atikokan’s Quetico Provincial Park is
offering fishing related hikes and other family programs.
From July 8th to 10th, anyone will be able to fish on area lakes without a license.
