A local bowling team has claimed gold at the National championships in Prince Edward Island.
The Sunset Country squad defeated a team from Manitoba in the final game.
It came down to the final frame, but Dryden’s Kailee Ernewein, Red Lake’s Kyle Hamilton, Kenora’s Jessica Scott and Cody Brown of Fort Frances pulled out the victory.
The team was coached by Terry Deleronde of Dryden.
They were also recognized for setting numerous team and personal best scores.
