It’s a sea of red in Canada.
The Liberals under Justin Trudeau won a majority government after taking about 183 seats in Monday’s federal election.
The Conservatives won 102 seats and the NDP 42.
The incoming Prime Minister told supporters that the Liberals were heard loud and clear by Canadians.
Trudeau says the election results show what positive politics can do.
He thanked his volunteers for their support.
Stephen Harper is going to be stepping down as leader of the Conservative Party.
Harper congratulated Justin Trudeau on his victory, but promised the Tories will be back.
He stresses the Conservatives will offer Canadians a strong and clear alternative based on their values.
Harper noted the results of the election were his and his alone.
There was no celebration for NDP leader Tom Mulcair.
His party was reduced from the Official Opposition to third party status once again.

Mulcair congratulated Trudeau on his win, stating he ran an exceptional campaign.
He says the Liberal leader made some ambitious promises and Canada will be keeping a close eye on those pledges.
In his concession speech, Mulcair gave no indication if he will be stepping down as party leader.
