There’s a report that former Kenora-Rainy River MP Bob Nault is in
apparent violation of a federal code of conduct.
The Winnipeg Free Press says Nault worked as a paid lobbyist for Nelson
House First Nation.
The newspaper says it learned that his current work has him lobbying
the Indian Affairs department that he headed until December of 2003.
Under the federal code for public office holders, Nault is barred
from working for any group which had significant dealings with his
department for two years after leaving office.
Nault is now C-E-O of a Manitoba-based consulting firm.
He denies the report.
