Nault Speaks Out On Federal Budget

Debate is continuing over the federal government’s 2018 budget.

Kenora M.P. Bob Nault rose in the House of Commons yesterday to help sell the merits of the fiscal document.

He says an investment in broadband internet service will ensure that northern and rural communities can thrive.

“I want to make sure that the government makes sure when it’s looking long term into the future, think about the reality of more people moving to rural Canada in the next generations, if the technology is in place for them to be there.”

The budget commits 100 million dollars for new broadband technology and expanding high speed internet service to underserviced areas.
