NDP Disappointed With Conservative Decision

The NDP say they are disappointed, but not surprised the Conservatives are not supporting their motion to give the speaker of the house more power.
Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty says after last weeks bizarre exchange in the House of Commons, they want to ensure questions that are asked, are answered properly.
The questions surrounded Canada’s military role in Iraq and Rafferty wonders whether we should be sending our troops over there in the first place.
Rafferty suggests the fact the government did not support their motion is a loss of democracy.
