NDP Leader Challenges Premier On Regional Plant

Provincial NDP Leader Andrea Horwath is calling on the Liberal government to come clean about their plans for the Thunder Bay Generating Station.
Horwath brought the plant’s future up at the first session of Question Period Monday.
Horwath notes the Premier hasn’t delivered on the “twice promised, twice cancelled conversion of the plant”.
She says the government has blown $20-million on cancelling the Thunder Bay station on two occasions.
Northerners stress that the plant needs to be converted to meet our energy needs.
The Premier responded but only spoke about the funding for roads and the Experimental Lakes Area.
