NDP Leader Says Deal Could be Costly

Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton warns that electricity ratepayers
could end up paying a private nuclear company hundreds of millions of
dollars in penalties.
The Province signed a deal with Bruce Power last year for more
nuclear-generated electricity starting in 2009.
Hampton says the contract also includes a 460-million-dollar penalty if
transmission lines aren’t in place.
