NDP MP Asking for Solution to Pension Issue

The MP for Thunder Bay-Rainy River is asking the Federal Finance Minister to make good on a promise to resolve the on-going pension shortfall issue involving AbitibiBowater and the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union.
John Rafferty says Jim Flaherty made the promise in the House of Commons last Fall.
Rafferty says the break in Parliament is the perfect time to address the issue.
The NDP are also calling on the Government to negotiate with the U.S. and its Biomass Crop Assistance Program which Rafferty claims gives unfair subsidies to U.S. Mills.
