Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty says this week’s vote to repeal the long-run registry is a realization that Canada’s gun laws need to be revised.
Rafferty joined a number of opposition MP’s in standing behind a Conservative MP’s private members bill.
The NDP member says his constituents called for the registry to be abolished.
Rafferty says it could still be several months before it returns to final reading, but notes he will support it when it does,
