NDP MP Pleased Consultations are Underway

Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty says he’s pleased the Harper government is finally talking about the crisis in the forest industry.
Natural Resource Minister Lisa Raitt is traveling across the country to meet with her provincial counterparts on the problems plaguing the industry.
Raitt says she won’t talk about the matters being considered, but promises she will take proposals from the provinces back to the Federal Finance Minister.
Rafferty says the meetings are long over due.
