NDP MPP Calling For Treatment Centre

Kenora-Rainy River MPP Sarah Campbell wants a treatment centre built in Grassy Narrows First Nation.
Her demands come following reports that mercury poisoning of area waters in the 1960’s is higher then initially projected.
Campbell says the facility could cover many different areas of mercury poisoning.
She adds a treatment centre will help alleviate suffering and reduce the cost of travelling to Winnipeg for treatment.
Campbell notes the facility could serve as a hub of research and innovation.
She is asking the province to take immediate action.
