NDP Support Municipal Leaders

The provincial NDP are making a commitment to municipal leaders that they will be a strong voice for them at Queen’s Park.
Speaking to delegates attending the Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference in London, the party’s finance critic Catherine Fife says municipalities are easy targets when the province wants to balance its books.
Fife says municipalities are being forced to take on greater responsibilities for maintaining and expanding services while provincial funding is being reduced.
