Ontario Provincial Police and the Nishnawbe Aski Police are continuing their partnership after signing a 3 year operational agreement.
The deal was inked Tuesday in Thunder Bay.
OPP Superintendent Ron van Straalen says it provides a framework for them to work together.
The agreement sets up protocols dealing with joint force ride alongs and sharing specialty services.
It also sets out a deal to share equipment and services.
NAPS Chief Claude Chum says the agreement provides guidelines on culturally appropriate policing for First Nations.
