The City of Dryden says the Chamber of Commerce has to get its act together.
The comments follow the release of a business survey which indicated low membership numbers.
(98-businesses completed survey; 69-answered Chamber membership question; 48-said they weren’t members; 21-said they were members)
Mayor Craig Nuttall says there’s no real direction at the organization right now.
Nuttall says that’s not right and stresses the business community must have a strong voice in what the City is doing.
He also says the Chamber doesn’t talk to the City.
Nuttall says Councilor Mel Fisher sits on the Chamber Executive and there’s no input.
He says he would like to receive more input from the organization.
Fisher stated Monday that the Chamber of Commerce is in a crisis mode at the executive level.
