Trist Upset With Communication At City

One Dryden Councilor says she received no information and didn’t know the nature of a closed door meeting last week to discuss the future of Treasurer Linda McNaughton.
Mary Trist says the only details she received was the date of the special meeting and stresses she knew as much as the media about the content of the meeting.
Trist says the Treasurer position is an important one and she would have liked prior information in order to make an informed decision.
Trist is calling the incident upsetting as some on council received prior notice of the meeting agenda.
She says this is another case of poor communication at the City and Council level.
Trist was in Ottawa for the Association of Municipalities of Ontario conference one day before the meeting.
