New Community Centre Opens In Wabaseemoong

A new Community Centre is up and running on the Wabaseemoong First Nation.

Kenora MP Bob Nault was on hand for the ribbon cutting of the Child and Youth Wellness Center on Wednesday.

The project cost $1.5-million, with funding coming from a program called Jordan’s Principal which works to ensure aboriginal children get the care and services they need.

The new Centre will ensure youth in the community receive culturally appropriate medical treatment and recovery services.
