The Ontario Provincial Police says local residents should start seeing
their new black and white cruisers on the road by this Summer.
Mike Armstrong is the OPP Chief Superintendant for Northwestern Ontario
and says it will take a couple of more months before the current fleet is
replaced.
In addition to the cruisers, the OPP is hiring 6 officers for a new
traffic unit in the Kenora District.
They will also be hitting the road this Summer.
