New Energy Program In Place

Minister of Natural Resources Michael Gravelle hopes a new electricity program will help spur industrial growth in Northwestern Ontario.
The Province is offering cheaper electricity rates to companies who are expanding or are willing to relocate to Ontario.
To qualify, companies need to make a minimum investment of $250-million that creates new jobs and new investment.
They will be eligible for long-term contracts at the wholesale market price, a reduction of about 30%.
Gravelle says the initiative is aimed at providing growth to the Northern economy.
