The Dryden Airport has received $432,000 for the purchase of two key pieces of equipment.
The federal funding will be used to secure a new motor grader and a runway anti-icing/deicing liquid application unit.
Both pieces of equipment should be here in time for the heart of winter.
Airport Manager Norm Sanders says the current motor grader has been out of commission since 2015 due to a major breakdown.
Sanders adds the new deicing unit was needed to prevent ice buildup on the runway and taxiway as well as control dust in the summer.
A funding request for a new runway sweeper and a new sanding unit was denied but another attempt will be made in 2019.
