New Face Introduced In An Effort To Build Curling In Region

Growing the sport of curling in the region.

That’s one of the jobs of the new technical coordinator of the Northern Ontario Curling Association.

Andrea Ronnebeck says she’ll be working with some of the elite teams in the area.

She will in charge of coordinating camps and bringing specialists to work with athletes as part of a new provincial high-performance program.

Ronnebeck says her goal is to train coaches for every curling club in northern Ontario.

She also wants to grow the sport at a grass-roots level.
