It may be getting a bit cooler but that’s not stopping new forest fires from popping up.
Two new fires were reported yesterday.
One was located near Quetico Provincial Park and the other was reported and extinguished 10-kilometres away from Kenora.
Both were lightning caused.
The Ministry of Natural Resources says the fire hazard is still fairly high in the southern part of this region.
One fire crew has been sent into northern Minnesota to help with new fires reported there.
