Some First Nations children will be handled differently if they get in trouble with the law.
An agreement has been signed between the Nishawbe-Aski Police and NAN Legal Services.
Nishnawbe-Aski Police will send some of these children to programs which reflect their First Nations culture.
Lawyer Selina Reitberger says they will direct those cases to Aboriginal centered programs.
She says the justice circles have proven to be a success in various jurisdictions.
