New Gold has completed a deal that will help off-set construction costs of its mine project north of Barwick.
The company says it has closed on the sale of more than 61-million shares that will bring in about $173-million U.S.
Earlier this year, New Gold announced it was looking at a shortfall of $195-million.
The company has said with the deal and it divesting interest in a Chile mining project earlier, it has the money needed to complete the mine which will go into production this September.
