A bright future for the Dryden Provincial Police.
The media was invited to take a guided tour of the new Highway 17 facility yesterday.
Commander Chuck Wesley says he’s excited for the new opportunities.
“We have a lot of regional resources that can be deployed out of this facility, so that allows us to do regional training and work together with Dryden Police and Treaty Three Police.”
Upgrades to the new location include offices for all staff, nine adult jail cells and two cells for young offenders, and a large, open board room.
Officers will be moving into the new location on July 17th.
A date has not been set for a public tour, but Wesley says it will probably be sometime in the fall.
