The Wequedon Lodge is officially open to the region’s First Nation medical patients.
The lodge houses out of town residents who need to visit Thunder Bay for medical appointments.
Executive Director Charles Morris says the new building has 110 beds.
Morris says while the building is not meant for families, it’s something that they’re looking at in the future.
The lodge sees about 140 clients each week.
