New Lodging and Transportation Policy

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has approved a new boarding, lodging and transportation policy for students who have to travel to other communities to attend High School.
The Board is willing to provide up to $500 a month in board and lodging for students and $100 for transportation.
Superintendent of Business Dean Carrie says the policy mainly affects students from areas like Upsala and Pickle Lake.
Carrie adds that the policy does not apply to students from First Nation communities, which the Public School Board already has tuition agreements.
