Northwestern Ontario is welcoming 20 new mental health workers.
Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Bill Mauro says they will work in schools, including ones in the Keewatin-Patricia District Board.
Mauro says mental health needs to be taken more seriously, and hiring these workers is a step in a right direction
The 20 local workers are a part of the 600 that have been hired in the province to help children, young people and their families get quick and easy access to support.
