New Name for Regional Centre Coming Soon

The Atikokan Crisis Centre is hoping to have a new name by the end of the calendar year.
The Centre’s Board of Directors has deferred making a decision after receiving more than 30 suggestions from the public and staff.
The Board has now struck a committee to review the suggestions with hope of narrowing its choice by November 17th.
The Centre, which provides assistance and shelter to abused women, wants to change its name to better reflect the area it serves.
