The MPP-elect for Thunder Bay-Atikokan is making preparations to officially take over her new role at the end of the month.
Judith Monteith-Farrell says she will meet with NDP leader Andrea Horwath this week in Toronto.
The party is hosting its first Caucus meeting on Thursday.
On Monday, she will take part in “MPP School”, an orientation for all new members of provincial politics.
Right now, Monteith-Farrell is meeting with various business, political and educational leaders to understand their concerns.
Monteith-Farrell says so far she has not been in touch with opposition leader Andrea Horwath, but has received a congratulations letter.
