Jim Wilson is thrilled to move out of the office and to go on the road.
The Simcoe-Grey MPP is the new minister of Northern Development and Mines.
Wilson says he has some learning to do, but is confident he can lead the North forward.
He says he will work on better access to health care and jobs.
Meantime, Wilson is accusing NDP Leader Howard Hampton of being wrong about him.
Hampton is concerned about Wilson because he has no real experience with northern issues and suggested he has been spearheading the deregulation of the Ontario hydro market.
