Exploring opportunities with an open mind in Dryden
That’s the idea behind Open Roads Public School ‘Explore’ program for Grade 7 and 8 students.
Teacher Diedre McQuade says students must participate in 100 minutes of art and music, sports and outdoor education.
She says the program helps with improving self-esteem and giving students a sense of place.
McQuade says she’s seen a big difference since the students participated in programs such as yoga and dog-sledding.
