Public School Board Assisting Expecting Mothers

Supporting expecting mothers and their families in Sioux Lookout.
That’s what the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board did when they partnered with the Meno Ya Win health Centre.
Student Success Leader Scott Urquhart says they have been able to provide educational services to expecting moms and their young kids at the hostel in a pilot project.
The Board also partnered with the Sioux Lookout First Nation Health Authority.
The project was funded through the Ministry of Education.
Urquhart says they hope to continue the program next year.
