The OPP have laid a second degree murder charge following an investigation.
Yesterday 39 year old Lisa Marie Kaminawaish from the New Osnaburgh First Nation was arrested and charged with second degree murder.
The charge was in relation to the death of a 34 year old man.
In February of this year Delbert Sainnawap a New Osnaburgh resident sought medical treatment at the health centre for an injury sustained earlier in the week.
He was airlifted to Thunder Bay for medical treatment and passed away in the hospital.
The Criminal Investigation Branch, Nishnawbe Aski Police and the OPP Northwest Region Crime Unit all investigated the circumstances surrounding the death.
Kaminawaish remains in custody and will appear in Kenora court today.
