New Prospect Taking Part In ‘Jump Rope For Heart’

Students at New Prospect School in Dryden are looking to become ‘Heart Heroes’.

They will be skipping rope on Friday in support of the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

JK/SK teacher Dawn-Marie Terry says students from kindergarten to grade 4 will take part in the event.

Terry stresses the goal of the event to raise awareness and funds for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

She adds the event will help kids learn the importance of being healthy and active.

Terry says their kids know the Heart and Stroke Foundation is a great charity and notes they also know several people who have suffered heart disease or a heart attack.

She says kids will jump until their hearts are content with music and other fun activities.
