The provincial government is overhauling the outdated radio system for emergency providers.
A new system will be installed and that will include new communication towers and technology right across the province.
Community Safety Minister Michael Tibollo points out the last upgrade was 20-years ago.
The radio upgrades will impact provincial police, emergency responders, paramedics and highway maintenance workers.
