A former NHL All-Star, Stanley Cup champion and Olympic Gold medal winner is coming to Dryden to share his story on how he overcame life’s obstacles.
The Kenora District Services Board is welcoming Theo Fleury on November 7th for a public fundraising event at the Centre.
His “The Power of Me Too” story is an uplifting talk about hope.
Chief Administrative Officer Henry Wall says Fleury’s message is relatable to many and is one of empowering positive change.
He notes his journey is a reminder that we are never alone in our struggles because we have all faced adversity in our lives.
Wall says he’s hoping the community and especially youth come out to hear his message.
The public event is free of charge but donations will be accepted for Dryden and Area Youth Well-Being plans.
Wall stresses several organizations and agencies along with Dryden Police have worked hard to develop solid youth wellness initiatives in the community.
Seat reservations are available to everyone by visiting https://drydentheofleury.eventbrite.ca
Reservations will be open at 7:00pm today. (Friday)
