A new scam to be aware in our area.
Someone is using the CKDR Obituary page in an attempt to bilk money.
A local resident received an email linking an In-Memoriam, indicating he was the grandson of the deceased.
The individual asked for consent to move some secretive treasures from their “grandfather” back to Canada and agreed to share 30% of the proceeds.
The person asks for a reply and personal information.
Remember if it seems to good to be true, it probably is.
