New Seniors Complex A Go In Dryden

The Pineridge Terrace Seniors Housing complex in Dryden is close to becoming a reality.

The group organizing the project has an agreeable plan from their architect and a preliminary financial plan in place.

Mel Fisher addressed the Rotary Club Wednesday and says they have made great strides in a two year period.

Fisher says there are some specifics that need to be ironed out but he is hoping to make some positive announcements in the coming days and weeks.

He hopes to have full commitments from interested residents within a week.

Fisher expects to break ground in the Spring of 2016, with an opening of the 22-unit, four storey complex in early 2017.

24-members are on board right now, but Fisher says there are still plenty of openings.

For more information or to register visit the Northern Lights Credit Unit.

The proposed ‘Pine Ridge’ complex will be located on 310 Van Horne Avenue, just below the hospital.

All units will be 1,000 square feet, with a balcony and plenty of shade.

There will be storage and parking and there is no maintenance required for residents.
